There are 267 parcels (lots) and a few vacant lots remain available and are governed by our Litchfield Hundred Homeowner Association Covenants and By-Laws. Our homes in Litchfield vary in style and include traditional two-story, colonial, contemporary and ranch. The Fulton County schools for Litchfield Hundred include Sweet Apple Elementary, Elkins Pointe Middle and Roswell High and wonderful private schools are also located nearby.

Our homeowners, whom we have welcomed to the neighborhood with a Champagne and goodie-filled gift basket since 2013, say they were drawn to Litchfield by the huge wooded lots, the beautiful and rentable Litchfield Clubhouse located at 1060 Cold Harbor Drive, wonderful pool and children’s Mushroom pool, and our newly re-surfaced tennis and pickleball courts. New homeowners often have friends already living here and look forward to enjoying the many fun social events we have for our homeowners--some for children, some for families and also some adult-only events.

The History of Litchfield Hundred &
the Original Signage

Litchfield Hundred is a heavily-wooded, prestigious North Fulton community, evoking the history of the English countryside, a secluded neighborhood with a tastefulness reminiscent of gracious manor life.

The very name of the community draws on a rich English heritage. Litchfield commemorates Dr. Samuel Johnson’s birthplace, a town of the same name in Staffordshire, England, landmarked by a cathedral with three soaring spires. The church, undertaken in the twelfth century, graces its community with Early English architecture, stone sculpture and spectacular stained-glass windows.

The term “Hundred” grows from the heart of the 11th century English life, when it referred to an area of land large enough to sustain one hundred households. Early 17th century American settlers on the James River continued the tradition; today, reminders of this American tradition continue at Bermuda Hundred and Martin’s Hundred in Virginia and at Bay Hundred on Maryland’s eastern shore. And now at Litchfield Hundred.

Each of the graceful, elegantly-designed homes is situated on a two-to-five acre lot, recalling the spaciousness of the early Hundreds and ensuring privacy. Architectural controls and underground utilities, including gas, preserve the estate-like beauty of Litchfield Hundred and enhance homeowners’ value.

The leisure country life of Litchfield Hundred is complemented by recreational amenities, including a swimming pool and tennis courts. North Fulton County’s excellent schools are nearby. Highway 400 and I-285 provide easy, close-by access to all of Atlanta’s business, shopping and entertainment centers.

Come, walk Litchfield Hundred to experience a unique blend of nature, privacy and luxury.
